The NAU Semiconductor Metrology Lab is designed to be the launchpad for the next generation of process technicians and engineers. We go beyond textbook theory, providing students access to industrial-grade optical, laser, pressure, temperature, and nanoscale characterization tools.

Our mission is direct: prepare students with the hands-on skills necessary to thrive immediately in Arizona’s rapidly expanding semiconductor manufacturing workforce. From cleanroom protocols to defect analysis, our students learn by doing.
